Mitsuya Home began as a small Melbourne team united by a love of Japanese craft and giving thoughtful gifts. We source goods from across Japan and beyond — from traditional kilns and known brands to antique market discoveries — in order to curate a range of practical and beautiful items for your home.

Mitsuya’s founder was trained as a ceramic artist and had the opportunity to learn directly from Japanese master potters and Australian artists. Having fallen in love with Japanese arts and crafts, the landscape, people and culture, Mitsuya Home is an opportunity to share these pleasures.

Rooted in arts, crafts and especially ceramics, we select items that add a Japanese aesthetic to everyday life. "Mitsu" means honey; "ya" means shop — a welcoming place to discover small, slow pleasures that add sweetness to your home.

We choose objects made with care and traditional skill. Not for perfect looks, but for feeling: warmth, texture, scent, presence. Our collection invites you to slow down, enjoy small rituals, and bring gentle sweetness into your home.

We find these treasures so you can welcome them into your home.
