Why we chose it

The IROHA collection is inspired by Kurawanka ceramics, the everyday tableware used by travelling merchants in Japan during the Edo period. Designed to be practical, durable and affordable, these humble pieces became beloved fixtures in daily life.

BARBAR has reimagined this tradition with modern forms and playful hand-drawn patterns. The Small Plate is designed for everyday use, whether holding a small sweet with tea or accompanying a shared meal.

Use it for

Japanese sweets, fruit, condiments, olive oil, dipping sauces or small side dishes.

Pairs beautifully with

The matching IROHA bowls and teapot.
